A Day in the Life of A Housewife

 

50's Housewife is having a link party..the theme is "A Day in the Life of A Housewife :)

 

Today, started off as a rather ordinary day:

Get the kids up to take care of the dogs

Breakfast

Morning chores

make a to-do list for the day

Gamer had a baseball workout at noon so Nick and Gamer went off to that while I took SportsFan, Princess and PoohBear off to run errands with me:

Post office to mail a few prize packages from the bookfair

Library to return movies we borrowed ( I love that we can "rent" movies for free at the library!)

A trip to the sporting goods store for SportsFan

A shopping trip to get SportsFan some much needed new jeans

(We also threw in a trip to Dunkin' Donuts for some much needed caffeine! lol)

 

Then it was back home to try and get some of my to-do list accomplished:

scrub down all of the kitchen cabinets (they are white so they collect dust and dirt easily)

Thoroughly clean the kitchen including dusting the ceiling (I use a swiffer for this...the family thinks I'm crazy! lol!)

Re-organize the boys' bedroom ( I try to do this every 6 months or so to all of the bedrooms)

Then of course there were the normal, everyday things on my to-do list:

laundry

dinner

sweeping

etc.....

I'm also trying to get everything organized so that we can get back into our normal school routine. We've been on a bit of a break and it'll be nice to get back to our normal rhythm and routine.

 

Now, it's just about 8 p.m. and:

 I'm waiting for Gamer to come back from practice number two

I've just sent all three younger children to get themselves ready for bed (pj's, teeth, wash up, etc)

I may make myself a little end of the day treat...maybe ice cream....maybe cookies....maybe both! lol

I'm going to settle down and watch about an hour of t.v and then  off to bed to try to finish Eat, Pray, Love, maybe get back online or maybe just call it a night  and get a good night's sleep to prepare for another busy day tomorrow :)
